Overhead insulated cable
ABC (Aerial Bundled Cable), also known as aerial insulated cable, is a type of cable used in overhead power transmission and distribution systems. It consists of multiple insulated wires bundled together. Compared with bare wires, it has higher safety, durability and protection performance. It is widely used in urban power distribution, rural power grid transformation and building power supply.

Classification of ABC cables
According to different voltage levels and structures, ABC cables are mainly divided into:
Low voltage ABC cables (0.6/1kV): used for low voltage distribution networks, composed of aluminum conductors and XLPE or PVC insulation.
Medium voltage ABC cables (10kV~35kV): used for medium voltage transmission systems, usually with a three-core structure, each core has an insulation layer, and is equipped with steel core aluminum stranded wire or insulated neutral wire.
High voltage ABC cables (above 35kV): used for special high voltage transmission lines, with stricter structural and material requirements.
Application scenarios of ABC cables:
Urban power grid: suitable for densely populated areas, reducing the space occupied by lines and improving power supply safety.
Rural power grid transformation: improving power supply stability and reducing power outages caused by weather factors.
Mountainous and forest areas: resistant to tree contact, wind and rain, reducing short circuit faults.
Islands and coastal areas: strong corrosion resistance, adaptable to humid and salt spray environments.

Advantages
High safety: The wire is wrapped with an insulating layer to reduce the risk of short circuit and electric shock, and improve the safety of the line.
Convenient installation: No insulator support is required, installation and maintenance are more convenient, and construction costs are reduced.
Anti-environmental influence: It can resist external factors such as tree contact, wind and rain erosion, and improve the reliability of power supply.
Excellent anti-theft performance: Due to the insulating layer, the theft is more difficult than bare wires, reducing the risk of loss.
Strong adaptability: It is suitable for scenes such as urban and rural power grid transformation, densely built areas, and complex areas where power lines cross.
