Overhead All Aluminum Conductor Cable(AAC)
AAC (All Aluminum Conductor) cables are made of high purity hard aluminum (1350-H19) round wires concentrically stranded, with an aluminum purity of not less than 99.7%. The conductor can consist of 7, 19, 37, 61 or more conductors arranged in 1, 2, 3, 4 or more layers around a central conductor. Each successive layer should have 6 more conductors than the layer immediately below. For a given cross-sectional area, the greater the number of conductors (and the corresponding reduction in the size of each conductor), the more flexible the conductor. This design makes AAC cables excellent in short span, high conductivity overhead transmission lines, particularly suitable for urban distribution networks and coastal areas.

Coastal areas: Due to the excellent corrosion resistance of aluminum, AAC cables perform well in coastal and other highly corrosive environments.
Advantages:
High conductivity: High-purity aluminum ensures excellent conductivity and reduces line loss.
Lightweight structure: The low density of aluminum makes AAC cables light and easy to install and transport.
Strong corrosion resistance: The natural corrosion resistance of aluminum allows AAC cables to maintain stable performance in harsh environments.
Economical: Compared with other conductor materials, AAC cables are lower in cost and more cost-effective.
Customized according to project requirements: Available in a variety of sizes and international standards (ASTM, IEC, DIN, BS, AS, CSA, NFC, Ss), and can be customized according to specific project requirements to ensure versatility in different applications.

What are the application scenarios for aluminum stranded overhead cables?
Aluminum stranded overhead cables are widely used in urban and rural power transmission and distribution networks, especially for low and medium voltage overhead power lines. It is commonly used in distribution systems, transmission lines, substations, and some industrial power facilities, and is particularly suitable for long-distance power transmission.
What are the advantages of aluminum stranded overhead cables?
The main advantages of aluminum stranded overhead cables are their lighter weight and lower cost. Although aluminum is not as conductive as copper, it is sufficient to meet most power transmission needs. In addition, the flexibility of aluminum stranded wire makes it easier to install, especially in environments where long-distance installation is required.
What is the rated voltage of aluminum stranded overhead cables?
The rated voltage of aluminum stranded overhead cables is usually 0.6/1kV, which is suitable for low and medium voltage power systems. In some high-voltage applications, models with a rated voltage of 10kV can also be selected to select the appropriate cable specifications according to power transmission requirements.
How to ensure the installation safety of aluminum stranded overhead cables?
When installing aluminum stranded overhead cables, it is necessary to ensure that the bending radius of the cable meets the standard requirements to avoid excessive bending that causes cable damage. And use appropriate tools and methods, such as professional cable clamps and fixtures, to ensure the stability and safety of the cable during operation.
What is the temperature resistance of aluminum stranded overhead cables?
The temperature resistance of aluminum stranded overhead cables usually depends on the insulation material. Aluminum stranded cables insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) usually have a temperature resistance of 70°C; while aluminum stranded cables insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) can reach a temperature resistance of 90°C, which is suitable for a wider range of working environments.
What is the corrosion resistance of aluminum stranded overhead cables?
Aluminum stranded overhead cables have excellent corrosion resistance, especially in environments with moisture, salt spray or heavy pollution, and can maintain good electrical performance. Aluminum conductors themselves have natural corrosion resistance, and external insulation materials such as cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) further enhance their durability in harsh environments.
