Cross-linked polyethylene maintains the inherent high electrical properties of polyethylene, and has the characteristics of high breakdown strength, high insulation resistance, low dielectric constant, and low dielectric loss.
Cross-linked polyethylene has a low density and the cable has no metal sheath, so the cable is light per unit length and easy to lay.
Cross-linked polyethylene has high heat resistance and anti-aging properties, low dielectric loss, and a long-term allowable operating temperature of 90°C, which greatly improves the transmission capacity.
The use of flame-retardant materials reduces the escape concentration of smoke and harmful combustion gases and improves the safety and reliability of the cable.
Usage Characteristics
Maximum rated operating temperature of conductor: 70°C or 90°C
Maximum short-circuit temperature of conductor: 160°C or 250°C, with a maximum duration of 5 seconds.
Installation and laying temperature: The minimum installation and laying temperature shall not be lower than 0°C.
Laying temperature: The laying temperature in air is 40°C, and the laying temperature in soil is 25°C.
