Marine cables are used to connect various electrical equipment in the ship's power grid to transmit electrical energy or electrical signals. With the continuous improvement of ship electrification and automation, the variety and usage of marine cables are increasing. Marine cables are basically divided into three categories: power cables, communication cables and special high-frequency cables. Among them, power cables are used in power, lighting and other systems and are the most used cables on board.onveyor belts, etc.

Armored type: Enhanced mechanical strength, suitable for high stress and harsh environments.

Product structure:

Conductor (cable core):

Material: high conductivity copper, often tinned to prevent electrochemical corrosion.

Structure: compact or twisted type, which not only improves conductivity but also enhances cable flexibility.

Insulation layer:

Type: common materials include PVC (polyvinyl chloride), XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene), EPR (ethylene propylene rubber).

Function: ensure the safe operation of the cable at rated voltage.

Filling and shielding layer:

Filling material: non-hygroscopic material to avoid mechanical damage caused by gaps between cores.

Shielding function: optimize electric field distribution, suppress electromagnetic interference, and reduce the risk of partial discharge.

Sheath:

It is divided into metal armor and non-metallic sheath, which can prevent external mechanical damage and erosion by oil, water, etc.

Common materials: chloroprene rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, etc.
