On November 8, the State Grid Ningxia Ultra-High Voltage Company successfully completed the ±1100 kV Jiquan line ground wire joint reinforcement work by using the helicopter winch chair method. This is the first time in the country that this method has been used to carry out reinforcement work with high voltage level, large ground wire section and long protective material, which effectively ensures the safe and stable power supply of the "West-to-East Power Transmission" artery.
The ±1100 kV Jiquan UHV DC transmission project is a key project of the national "West-to-East Power Transmission" and is also the world's highest voltage level, largest transmission capacity and longest transmission distance UHV transmission project. The Ningxia section of the Jiquan line passes through Guyuan City and Zhongwei City, with a total of 340 towers.
Since part of the line is located in the heavy ice area of the Haiyuan Line in Ningxia, there is a risk of the ground wire breaking after ice coating, and it is necessary to improve the anti-icing ability of the ground wire by winding it with high-strength materials. The tower is located in the Ningnan mountainous area at an altitude of more than 1,700 meters. The mountains are deep and the environment is complex. The straight-line distance between the operation point and the ground is more than 300 meters. In addition, due to the high voltage level, the cross-sectional area of the Jiquan line ground wire is 240 square millimeters, and a 3.6-meter-long high-strength aluminum alloy stranded wire is required for winding, which further increases the difficulty and risk of the operation and places high demands on the physical strength of the personnel.
The company and State Grid Electric Power Space Technology Co., Ltd. have studied and finally decided to use the helicopter winch chair method to carry out the reinforcement of the ground wire joint. This operation method is not only less affected by the terrain, but also saves the personnel from climbing the tower and routing the line, reduces the work intensity of the personnel, saves operation time, and improves the safety factor of the operation and the efficiency of maintenance.
