China's Changji-Guquan ±1100 kV UHV DC transmission project (abbreviated as "Jiquan DC") is the world's highest voltage, largest transmission capacity and longest transmission distance UHV DC line. The Jiquan DC line can transmit 12 million kilowatts of electricity and more than 200 million kWh per day, which is equivalent to lighting 400 million 30-watt light bulbs and meeting the annual electricity needs of 130,000 four-person families.
