Project Background
An internationally renowned automaker encountered frequent damage to robot cables when automating its assembly plant in the northeast. The frequent movement of the robot arm caused traditional cables to wear and break frequently, which not only affected production efficiency but also led to high maintenance costs. The production line had to be frequently shut down for repairs, which seriously affected the execution of production plans.
Technical Analysis and Challenges
On the automated production line of automobile manufacturing, cables must not only withstand high-intensity mechanical stress, but also adapt to complex industrial environments such as high temperature and chemical corrosion. Traditional cable designs cannot meet these demanding requirements, especially at the joints of the robot, where cables need to be bent repeatedly, and ordinary materials are prone to aging and cracking, which leads to signal interruption or equipment failure.
Customized Solution
Based on years of accumulated technical experience and a deep understanding of market demand, Shenxing Cable tailored a high-performance robot cable for the automaker. This cable uses the following key technologies:
Polymer composite outer sheath: Special materials with extremely high wear resistance and tensile strength are selected, and the wear resistance is improved by 50%, which effectively prevents the wear problem of the cable during frequent movement.
High-purity oxygen-free copper conductor: The internal conductor uses high-purity oxygen-free copper, which not only ensures the stability and low loss of signal transmission, but also improves the conductivity of the cable.
Special buffer layer design: A special buffer layer is added inside the cable to absorb the stress caused by mechanical movement, which significantly enhances the fatigue resistance of the cable and prolongs its service life.
Wide temperature resistance range: The cable can work stably in the temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, adapting to the changing temperature conditions in the workshop.
Excellent flame retardant performance: The outer sheath material has good flame retardant properties and can maintain structural integrity at high temperatures or near fire sources to ensure production safety.
