Project background:
In order to promote the development of new energy vehicles, a city built a number of charging stations in public areas. Due to the special working environment of the charging station, the performance requirements for the cable are extremely high.
Shenxing Solution:
▶ High temperature and bending resistant cable: During the charging process, large current will generate a lot of heat, and frequent plugging and unplugging of the charging gun will cause the cable to bend repeatedly. Shenxing provided high temperature and bending resistant cross-linked polyethylene insulated cable for this project. The cable has the following characteristics:
High temperature resistance: The rated working temperature can reach 90℃, which can withstand the high temperature during charging;
Excellent bending performance: After 100,000 repeated bending tests, the cable has stable performance and is not easy to age;
Oil and chemical resistant: The outer sheath is made of special PVC material, which has excellent oil and chemical resistance and can adapt to harsh installation environments.
▶ High-current fast charging cable: In order to meet the needs of fast charging, Shenxing provides copper conductor cables with large cross-section (150mm²) and low resistance (<0.2Ω/km), which can carry large currents and shorten charging time. At the same time, water cooling is used to effectively reduce the cable temperature and extend the service life.
▶ Safety protection cable: In order to ensure charging safety, Shenxing provides cables with good insulation performance and grounding protection functions for charging piles. The insulation layer thickness of the cable reaches 2.5mm, which is higher than the industry standard, and adopts a three-layer shielding structure (aluminum foil + copper wire + braided mesh) to effectively prevent leakage and electromagnetic interference.
Application effect:
Shorten charging time: The application of high-current fast charging cables shortens the charging time by more than 30%, greatly improving the user experience. Practical applications show that the charging time of an electric car has been shortened from 1 hour to 40 minutes.
Improve charging safety: The application of high-temperature resistant and bending-resistant cables and safety protection cables effectively ensures the safety of the charging process and avoids safety accidents caused by cable aging and damage. The accident rate has been reduced by more than 50%.
Extend equipment life: High-quality cables extend the service life of charging equipment and reduce maintenance costs. According to actual applications, the average service life of cables has been extended by more than 40%.
Technological innovation:
Intelligent monitoring system: Shenxing has equipped the charging station with an intelligent monitoring system, which can monitor the temperature, current and other parameters of the cable in real time, detect potential faults in time, and ensure charging safety. The fault location time is shortened by more than 50%.
