Project Background:
An internationally renowned oil exploration company has constructed a new offshore drilling platform in the North Sea region. Corrosion-resistant, Seawater-resistant, Fatigue-resistant Cables:
Material Selection:
Using cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation layer with excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance, and effective resistance against seawater corrosion. The outer jacket is made of specialized weather-resistant TPE material with excellent wear resistance, oil resistance, ozone resistance, effectively resisting erosion from UV light and salt spray.
Structural Design: The cable interior adopts a multi-strand stranded structure, enhancing the flexibility and tensile strength of the cable. The outer layer uses a high-strength steel wire braiding layer, effectively improving the tensile strength and vibration resistance of the cable.
Heat-resistant, Humidity-resistant, Oil-resistant Cables:
Material Selection: Using heat-resistant XLPE insulation and oil-resistant outer jacket, capable of long-term stable operation on drilling platforms with severe temperature, humidity, and oil contamination.
Structural Design: Adopting flat conductor design, increasing the contact area between the conductor and insulation layer, reducing resistance, and improving thermal conductivity.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Cables:
Shielding Design: Using multi-layer shielding structure, effectively suppressing external electromagnetic interference to ensure normal operation of equipment.
Filter Design: Installing filters at the cable joints, further reducing electromagnetic interference.
Performance Indicators:
Corrosion Resistance: Passed 2000-hour salt spray corrosion test, no significant damage to the outer jacket, complying with IEC 60092 standards.
Heat Resistance: Operating temperature range: -50°C to 150°C, significantly higher than ordinary cables.
Vibration Resistance: Passed 100,000 bending cycles, stable cable performance without breakage.
Electromagnetic Compatibility: Complying with IEC 61000-4-6 standard, possessing good electromagnetic compatibility.
