Project Background

The cables of the hoisting system of a deep copper mine have been aging and experiencing insulation degradation under long-term high-load operation, resulting in frequent tripping, which seriously affects the production efficiency of the mine. In addition, there is a large amount of corrosive gas and dust in the mine, which poses a great threat to the life of the cable.


Project requirements

In order to meet these challenges, the project puts forward the following specific requirements:

• High temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance: The cable needs to be able to work stably in the high temperature, high humidity, and highly corrosive environment in the mine, and have good mechanical properties to cope with frequent bending and stretching.

• Low smoke and halogen-free, environmentally friendly: The cable material must be low smoke and halogen-free to ensure that the amount of harmful gases generated during combustion is minimized to ensure the safety of mine workers.

• Signal transmission function: The cable must not only undertake the task of power transmission, but also integrate signal transmission function to support remote monitoring and fault diagnosis of the lifting system.
